On September 1, 2009 Department of Energy approved China International Mining Petroleum Ltd.'s (CIMP) acquisition of 80% participating interest in SC49 project from Ranhill Energy SDN BHD and become the Operator of the project at the same time. The other two parners are respectively Ranhill SDN BHD(Ranhill) and Phil-Mal Energy International INC.(Phil-Mal) .
